Kamran Khan

Co-Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer

For more than two decades, Kamran Khan has been involved in growing and managing software companies. In addition to Search Technologies, he has developed and led international sales, marketing, engineering, and customer support units at ArtinSoft, Convera Corporation and its predecessor Excalibur Technologies, and PAFEC Ltd. before its acquisition by SER Systems. As Senior Vice President for Worldwide Sales at Convera, Kamran drove revenues to more than $50 million and managed a sales team of 100 with more than 700 clients. In 2001, Convera merged with the Interactive Media Services division of Intel Corporation. A native of Manchester, Kamran earned a B.S. degree with honors in aeronautical engineering from Manchester University.

John Steinhauer

Co-Founder, Vice President – Technology

John is responsible for day-to-day technical operations and personnel management for a team of 30 engineers and supervisors in five offices in three countries. From 1999 to 2004 at Convera and its predecessor Excalibur, he designed and developed products that helped more than 500 commercial and government clients find and manage their critical data. As a business consultant and analyst, John designed and deployed systems to increase efficiency, enhance manufacturing quality and improve financial reporting for major publishers, manufacturers, universities, and government agencies. He earned master’s degrees in business administration and international relations from Boston University, and graduated with honors from the University of Chicago with a B.A. degree in political science.

Dennis Tran

Co-Founder, Vice President – Sales

Dennis has managed domestic and international sales, training and support programs at software and technology enterprises for more than 30 years. At Search Technologies, he negotiated agreements with the company’s major customers, including Bank of America, BearingPoint, Inc., Barclays Global Investors and State Street Corp. Dennis earned a B.S. degree in civil engineering from California State University Long Beach and studied mathematics, engineering and graduate-level business administration at Pepperdine University.
